Thinking of going this afternoon. Anyone been? - Joe ? Greg? Do they have a harp amp or should I bring my Bassman if I go? I'm not expecting Club Fox quality, - but Sunday afternoon is a lot more convenient than a weekday night commute.

I don't go there often. I would say bring an amp. Bigger is better. Lots of good players the few times that I've been there. It's an odd place for me. When I go there I know very few people. I don't do Sunday Jams often. If I do, I'll go to the Bistro in Hayward which isn't always good, but I tend to go to hang with people I haven't seen in a while and they have Pliny The Elder on tap. Once La Imperial closes, I may not go there anymore.

The quality of musicianship is usually better at the Pioneer, but the beer is better in Hayward. If you want to meet at either place drop me a note on Facebook. If I can make it, I'll go.

You should have come to the Club Fox this past week. RJ Mischo was there.

I'm (almost) headed out the door. I will be there.

I'm a stick in the mud mostly. I do plan to go to Pioneer this afternoon though - but the possibilliy of pooping out is always there.
If you email me noams@comcast.net and give me your phone # I can confirm if I actually get my but out the door.

It was a most excelent afternoon.. Terry Hiatt is superb - I'd never heard of him, - but I've been 'out of it' for a long time. Then Daniel Castro played the third set with Terry and his guys. Incredible freaking guitar slinging. Some of the best dueling guitars I've heard in decades.
Dicky Betts and Jerry Garcia in RFK stadium 1973, Clapton and Robertson at the Last Waltz - that kind of good. I did get to play on the jammers set which was fun, got a pretty good recption. Glad I brought the Bassman down.
