Thanks for posting. I haven't come across his videos before and yes, he dos have skill and versatility.

His technique is impressive, his phrasing is choice and he does have a good, gritty tone on the blues and up tempo numbers. He seems a tad stiff , though, on the blues--there is an exacting precision that matches the more structured classical pieces in this video. I understand precision and exactitude for serious concert music, but blues and boogie suffer from too much of it. I love his playing , though, his ideas are solid. I expect that he'll develop a natural fluidity as he gets older. Thanks for posting.

That's a heck of a reel. Definitely somebody worth watching. And you're right: very wide range.

What's his nationality? Is he German? Russian?

Talked to him at Amal Bluesfestival in Sweden this year. He's not only a very good harmonicaplayer, but he's also a very nice guy :)
