I thought the pretty beast deserved better than the stock dogbone - so I got her this from Brookwood Leather
BMRI handle

Bob is nice to deal with - and it wasn't a whole lot of $$

Man I have handles twice as thick with steel reinforces inserts - and they STILL wear out. If you only lift straight up should be OK but if, like me, you hold the handle and the bottom of the amp to lay the amp flat and lift it into your trunk, it puts a big side load on the handle - I'd be VERY cautious about that one beginning to wear, then tearing all at once and letting the amp drop out of your hand. Keep a close eye on it!

Your amps put on a lot more milage than mine - but I will keep an eye on that.

Yep, it will wear and tear and dump your amp on the floor.

But it looks cool...

Hey, did you re-lacquer that tweed?

When (if) I start gigging regularly again - I'll keep an eye on that handle. For the moment I'm afraid I'm more 'show' than 'go'

I did laquer it Rick. With your (and some others) help and inspiration - sorry if I forgot to thank you sooner. It was nakid when I got it. I used one coat of the Bullseye, - then mixed up some laquer flakes.
This pic. doesn't show it that well but I'mquite happy with it. - I'll take some more when I get a chance.
