Just browsing around musos friend site. A nice box of seven Dylan Sig harmonicas for, wait for it, only 25000$!
That'd buy a nice car. Would anyone seriously pay that for 7 diatonics?
I was about to order a set but then i saw that they don't do free shipping to Newzealand ;-)

A bunch of new Dylan sig harps just sold on ebay for about $28 each last week. I was watching them as they sold. Even bid on a oouple (didn't get them). All gone now. They were limited keys, A, C, D, several of each. Seller said they were being sold as "used" because they didn't have the boxes or paper work, but that they had never been played and were in fact new. I always check a seller's feedback scores if I'm thinking of buying anything. I've never had a problem. Even have gotten some easy refunds if the item wasn't what it was supposed to be.
$25K for a set of seven? There are fools all over the place. One of them might actually buy them.

On the same topic (celebrity signed stuff) I saw Charlie McCoy at a seminar a few years back. He told the story of meeting Johnny Cash and his recording of Orange Blossom Special using 2 harmonicas. After the session Johnny asked him if he could teach him how to play it. Charlie spent some time with Johnny, showed him how to do it and gave him the harmonicas. 2 weeks prior to the CM seminar someone listed those 2 harps on eBay. I don't remember if they were signed but the seller claimed to have proof that they were the ones Johnny (really Charlie) used to record OBS. I don't think they sold for much, I wish I'd paid closer attention and could have bought them. It would have been a kick to return them to Charlie at that seminar.
