Going to the Ohio State Harmonica Championships this afternoon. If anybody else is going, look me up.

I did see Steve Williams from the Elk River Harmonicas forum there at the Ohio State Harmonica Championship. We had a great time.
It was held in this old, old courthouse building.
While the other contestants were playing, I'm enjoying the harp music, sitting on the open stairway that leads up to the 2nd floor. I glance over at the steps and I"m like "wait a minute," the steps were made from American Chestnut. That was pretty awesome.

Glad you had a good time... Hope we can see some video some day..

"I glance over at the steps and I"m like "wait a minute," the steps were made from American Chestnut."

Does that mean you're going to have a "special" on American Chestnut combs in the near future?

So?
What are they using for stairs now? Did you talk them into building an access ramp? You could drop a dime on them with the local building and codes dept.

The courthouse building we were in was built in 1823. Probably at one time the flooring was too, but the flooring has been, at some point replaced.
Tell me that's not some kickass wood that people can climb up and down stairs made of it for 186 years and it's still there.
