Just got a low A harp so this is me playing with my new train set. It's mostly a John Henry kind of melody, but I can't bend the 3 much or the 2 at all, so used 2 blow and the major third instead. The guitar part is just a loop. Recorded on thephone so can't embed, but here's a link:
I have a 364 12 hole hohner, key C,and can bend this bugger all the way, holes 1,2,3,4, sounds like a mean ol'e sax or somethin, i luv low harps, this is good.

I like that kind of "haunting" rhythm and melody. There are some exotic arab or indian musics which no rhythm can be heard in, but only the melody is sustained by one (bass) note all across the tune. If the lancinating aspect of your attempt was a conscient purpose, then you should have a shot at it, because I don't believe that this technique has once been used with a harp for the melody, although a wailing harp could contest wailing flutes or violin. As for me, the thrills are guaranteed, especially if you add some echo or reverb on the harp. This was just my HO.
