Hey hey,
I have a premier model50 I am thinking of adding
a line out to it. Anybody know how to wire resistors
to output jack? I would like to be able to keep
the speaker functioning to use as a monitor.
Thanks,
Mike B

What is the speaker impedance load that the amp wants to see? If you don't know, use 330ohms for R2.

5W @ 16ohm Line-out - R1 = 2.2kohms (0.5W minimum), R2 = 220ohms (0.5W minimum).

5W @ 8ohm Line-out - R1 = 2.2kohms (0.5W minimum), R2 = 270ohms (0.5W minimum).

5W @ 4ohm Line-out - R1 = 2.2kohms (0.5W minimum), R2 = 470ohms (0.5W minimum).

R1 runs from the hot speaker wire to the line-out jack socket tip connection. Use a non-shorting jack socket.

R2 bridges the line-out jack socket tip connection, to the line-out jack socket ground/common connection, which also connects to the ground/common speaker wire.

The line-out jack itself does not need to be grounded to the chassis & can be mounted in a back panel, as long as wires are kept out of the way & there is no risk of damaging the resistors.

Premier 50 is rated at 7W but it makes next to no difference.
