Hello,

Hi,

This is my first improvisation.

Backing ttrack:

Backing ttrack + me:

Despite having numerous errors I like it for two reasons: because I have finally developed some rhythm (something I thought was impossible for me almost two years ago, when I start playing harp), and because there are a couple overblows riff that came out nice.

I'm happy with my progress, I finally played music and not just random notes at a random time. It is an important moment for me despite of the technical shortcomings of my technique and the recording.

Thanks to Adam Gussow for his YT lessons, and to all who have uploaded videos to youtube being genereosos with your knowledge.

Hey rogonzab, that sounded good! Recording is a lot harder than just playing isn't it? Heard some good vibrato and some country blues vibe. Some double stops would sound good in there. Hope to hear some more from you. Thanks

Yes indeed. A solid first outing! Liked the decending warble thing in the middle. Well done.

Very good! Solid tone! Good rhythm! Nice hand effects. A ton of soul! I really liked that blue note with vibrato at 1:44. A lot more of that, please! For me, I'd like a whole (well, almost) 12 bars of root, blue third and the low flat seventh. Like a "soloing block", you know?

Keep posting, please.

Nice work. Good for you for sticking with it, even when you thought it was hopeless.

Congratulations on your leap into feeling like you're making some real music. A great feeling. Onward!

I think there are a lot of positive things, but rather amazing is that you keep (almost) the same rhythm during 5 minutes...did you use a metronome?

Thxs to all of you for your posts!

Pistolcat, your are right, I didn't catch that. I think it would be a cool thing to do intentionally.

laurent2015, I don't have a metronome, just my foot.

I have being practicing keeping a straight time for a couple of months, but stressing the upbeat is still a mystery to me.
