I've been checking out the Harpdog on YouTube. He's an interesting singer and straight forward blues player.

But this tune caught my ear...reminds me of New Orleans. What do you think?

I'm no expert, but he does sound a bit Dr John-ish to my ears.
Thanks for sharing. I will listen to some more...
Coincidentally, I believe he's from my birthplace of Edmonton, Canada.

I'm hearing echos of Satchmo in his singing, so clearly a Nola vibe to that.

May be born in Edmonton but sure wears Winnipeg on the heart sleeves with pride. Caught him Victoria a couple of weeks ago. Great show with a real entertainer and solid harp player.

Harpdog has been living in my end of town for awhile now. He drops in to local jams, does weekend shows and puts together blues series' with other local pros to keep the blues alive in Vancouver while the Yale is undergoing renovations.
I let him use my amp when he needs one. (Like I'm gonna say no, right? :)
