Hi All,
I have been watching from the sidelines for a while now and decided its time I said hello. I live in the southeast of England (30 mins from London) and have been playing harp for about 18 months. Reading the posts on the forum its amazing the amount of knowledge and experince you guys have (and if I am honest its a little bit daunting for a newbie.
I love any type or style of music that gives me that feeling of exhilaration you get in your gut. Blues music and playing the harp gives me that feeling. I figured that to continue on my musical journey I need to join in, so, if you'll have me, I'd like to hitch a ride!

Hi Rollingstone, sounds like you qualify for admittance admirably. I'm in North London and consider myself a newbie to bluesharp even though I'm about five years in now.
The guys here will make you welcome and give advice if you need it and every encouragement to get you on the right track.
Make sound files, YouTube videos and post them on here and get involved. There are a lot of us leisure players out here too. We're not all pros. The main thing is to have fun. We do.

one more welcome from near the Delta. Central Arkansas is where i call home. pretty much any question you have, someone here will either have the answer or find it, so don't be shy! at 18 month's experience playing harp i was not too far along. it took me a long time to become really fluent, but stubbornness and a student mentality carried the day. "back then" there was no internet and limited print material. very few harp players lived near me either so i just listened to lp's and tried to play along. i moved to Dallas and things got a bit better. but for me the advent of the information superhighway and forums like this made a huge difference. here we have a community with the common interest of playing, learning, teaching, and sharing adventures and experience with all comers. hope you hang around and ask questions, tell tales, and generally have a great time! ---------- http://www.reverbnation.com/jawboneandjolene
