J.B. Lenoir, I discovered him recently : man ! What a singer ! And his music is so groovy, makes me wanna jump on my harp everytime. He's pretty good at it, by the way.
Even though it took nearly an hour to download here (dial-up suks), it was worth it. I played along with it 4 times already.. the last time I powered up my little Electar Tube 10 and had a great time playing through my old Astatic 335H-7.. If I lived in black and white it couldn't have been much more fun.
Here's a theory- JLH was told that the tune would be in "E" and he grabbed an "E" harp out of some confusion... So he was playing 2nd Pos which would put him in the key of "A." Note the confused look on his face in parts of his solo- near the end of it iirc. Play along with an E harp in 2nd and I think you will agree.
I am not sure of the player's name, but one of them appears to be playing with his harp "upside down" (low notes to the left).
@ arzajac it's from "the American Folk Blues Festival 1962-1966" dvd (volume 2) available from amazon. Volume 1 and 3 are great too (including Little Walter, Big Walter, SB WII, Sonny Terry and Dr Isaiah Ross )
