I recently got my father in law a cry baby wah-wah, which he really enjoys using to funk things up. I also tried playing harp with it which although different was pretty fun. A while ago one of our members posted a video, In which they used an auto wah pedal and more recently i noticed Jason ricci in a video for the new lone wolf pedal had a maxon auto wah on his board.
So do any of you folks use auto wah and if so what do you recommend. I tried the boss auto today which was cool but at £115 it's pretty pricey so cheaper would be better. Obviously I know you usually get what you pay for but to get a little funky wah on your harp do you need all the bells and whistles featured on a top end pedal.
Any thoughts would be appreciated

You can get the Maxon the same that Jason uses for £123 from Thomann.
You can also get the Zoom G3 for £136 or the version with a pedal for £144. The auto wa works great on them and because its a multi effects pedal you can also use 5 other effects at the same time (including amp modelling).
I had one that I really liked but needed an Octivider. The one on the G3 didn't track chords very well. I think I will probably go with the Maxon.

The POD auto wah isn't a true auto wah, evidently. At any rate, I really like it too. The Boss stuff didn't trigger really well for me. The Digitech stuff does.
