I agree Jon. Its been fun putting it through the paces. I keep wanting to pull all the stops out once the blow plate is nicely tuned and hear that big awesome chord!

Man, I hope bronzewailer (I think he's the guy that was building something very similar a while back) is getting some royalties off this.

It is inaccurate. The spinning wheel + needle design is annoying to use.

Just try iStrobosoft and you'll feel the difference.

@Kingbiscuit I think it was 'Old Wailer' who made something similar, but I also remeber the thread when he posted about the 'HArp hookak' , Dick already had the harp tuner done by then, as mike fugazzi had mentioned, seeing it in action over Skype! The harp tuner by Sjoeberg does look fantastic!

I was at a show with Joe Filisko and Erik Noden last fall. Before it started I went searching for the loo and took a wrong turn ending up in the warm up room where Joe sat tinkering with a Sjöberg harptuner. So... The best use it too.

Yeah--it was me--I released a very similar contraption many months ago. I worked on that sucker for almost three years and finally came up with one that worked.

I never had the connections or money or recognition to make it really fly or generate much interest--but Mr. Sjoberg has been smart--getting units into the hands of real opinion leaders like Filisko and Pollard before it was even released to the public.

The Sjoberg hookah costs almost three times what mine did--but I've gotta admit--I'd like to buy one and take it apart just to see what all he did that I never thought of. The holder looks very impressive and ingenious to me--and the sliders go clear through the block! Why didn't I think of that? I know the kind of work it takes to make something this complex work, and I have great respect for what Sjoberg has done with it.

I was aware that Sjoberg was working on this mousetrap a few months before I released mine--but I had never even seen a picture of it. Just an interesting case of two like minded people working on a similar problem on two different ends of the world. . .

@Logan--I checked a price somewhere that was in kroners--and I thought the price was over $600--which was way higher than mine was--I was mistaken, I guess. Mine was priced at $365--so, not that much different. Yes, to me it sounds like a very reasonable price at $395.

I am not producing them at this time. If there was a lot of demand, I'd probably jump back into the game--but that's another story. . .
