@HarpNinja

I drink to that! Marvellous, thanks for posting.

JP appears to have slimmed down somewhat?

Great to see him play like that, and how clearly he hits those single notes at speed. Always loved his songs.

That is great to see with no amps or sound system, just great vocals and harp!

With all respect Mike, screw the harp, as fine as it is.

The vocals are beautiful and made the song.

Popper makes real music. Awesome!

Edit: The harp is beautiful too. I just had a listen back. It's actually nice to hear JP acoustically and it's certainly helpful from a study perspective.

Thanks for posting Mike.

John Popper actually sounds melodic without a microphone.The harmonica solos are crisp, quickly, cleanly stated; the difference is that he has an idea of where's going with his solos. Well done. And his vocals are simply terrific.

In the world of harmonica, a lot of serviceable vocalists are praised for their singing abilities. Love him or hate him, JP sets the bar of singing harmonica player ridiculously high.

His Duskray Troubadour album is crazy good for both is vocal and harmonica work. Just amazing!

I like John Popper. I really do enjoy his singing and his harmonica playing. He's certainly one of my first favorite harmonica players. I listen to his travelocity greatest hits album about monthly. But his solo here sounds a lot like the solo of the song run around to me. I'm not sure I think it fits this tune he's singing or maybe I would have liked to hear something prettier. Though, at the same time what he is playing sounds pretty great, good tone, solid notes. I enjoyed watching this clip thanks for posting it :) . I know he was on Adam Corrolla's pod cast this week but I haven't downloaded it yet to listen. I know one of my friend's whose taste in music I respect says their recent album is one of their better ones.
