Often when I play my marine band a lot one night, and then wake up the next morning and try it, a lot of the notes sound terribly off tune(especially the blow notes) for a little while until I play a train song or something. Then they go back in tune. Is this normal? Am I slowly destroying my harp?

If saliva had dried on the reed tip it may have left enough residue to flatten it a little until the moisture from playing it again hs loosened it. Just a thought. Do you play with a lot of force, which from what I understand also causes too much moisture. I am constantly forcing myself to pull back on my breath force. ---------- If it ain't got harp - it ain't really blues!!!!

Haha, no alchohol for the majority of the time. Maybe the tea?
jawbone I think you're probably right, I'll try going real easy on her for the next few days, see if that doesn't make a difference.
