Michael Rubin 678 posts Sep 27, 2012 8:13 AM	I've got a new to me Mac and I am trying to do skype and make youtube videos, but the built in mic creates a windlike noise. I have tried plugging in a 57 thru a blue icicle thru the usb port but it doesn't seem to recognize the mic or I do not know how to make it work. ANy ideas? Thanks!
Libertad 139 posts Sep 27, 2012 9:19 AM	Michael I dont know what your Mac experience is so please don't be offended if this is a bit basic: As a test have you checked that the right mic is selected? System preferences/sounds/input Then open Skype/preferences/audio visual and check that the right mic is in the first drop down box Hope that helps Martin
didjcripey 390 posts Sep 27, 2012 3:01 PM	Or you can run the 57 through a small mixer and take the either the line out or the headphone jack and run it in to the line in on the mac I've never had a problem with the built in mic for skype ---------- Lucky Lester
