I bought an EV 641 a few years ago and sort of forgot about it - It is kinda clunky to hold but sounds OK - any thoughts on this? I was thinking of taking it apart and putting it into a more harp friendly shell. Does any one have one of these or any ideas? Is it worth fiddling with? -------------------------------------------- If it ain't got harp - it ain't really blues!!!!

I have one and think it is pretty easy to hold and get a good cup with. It's not a bad sounding dynamic. I have a 638 also, and I think the 641 is easier to hold. Just my opinion.
Thanx Ray - I was wondering if it had much value as a vintage mic, in which case I wouldn't mess with it, but if not I would probably move the element into a bullet type shell. ---------- If it ain't got harp - it ain't really blues!!!!
