Well, let's see. I'm pretty sure it isn't: Adam Gussow Dennis Gruenling Kim Wilson Paul Butterfield James Cotton Charlie Musselwhite Jimi Lee Little Walter Rice Miller Frank Brendan Power Me Have I forgotten anyone? Probably. I think there are/were some other harp players, right?
Todd recorded that quite a while back. Its at the tail end of a video that he made where he talks about minor keys. The backing track was also up there on youtube for awhile. It might still be there.
If you want to see Todds original video just go to youtube and look for the title - "Minor vs. Major Harmonicas - Playing in Minor Keys - Todd Parrot.

On my website, harveyharp.com, the song that plays automaticaly is in Bm. I played it on a retuned to natural minor, old refurbished bad vintage Marine Band Marine Band.
Its a pretty good story how it came about. I was in Guitar Center, and ran into Gypsy Elise Desade, here in New Orleans. She said that she was doing a new album which was going to press the next day, and she had a song that needed something, maybe harp. I volunteered, of course, and asked her when. She said rignt now, and luckily I had my harp box with me.
She played it once, and we recorded once. The next night was the IBF challange, and Gypsy was a judge. She gave me the CD, and we played it during the competition. That is as close to fame as I will ever come.
I hope you like it, and yes, I guess this is a commercial. ----------
I did not know that was Todd Parrot playing that spectacular Minor blues and I really enjoyed the video of him playing it up close in person, that was sweet! Nice to hear and see the other fine versions of minor blues listed here too.
Here is a minor ditty I did a little while back, figured now is a good time to re-show it...

Frank, Something weird in your clip, and it's not the first time I noticed it. Your back track seems to be in the foreground and your playing behind it: I think the whole thing is pleasant, but a balance is needed. Maybe I'm wrong, but I wonder if the back music and the harp come from the same place (i.e. an amp) or not? Well, your back-track is crystal clear, but your playing isn't, because of something like an echo or close to an echo. Sorry, maybe I'm not clear myself!...

Laurent, my professionalism is sorely lacking and what I do are quick wham bam thank you ma'am doo dads and that's what your hearing, you got good ears and I agree with your synopsis - it ain't pretty by any stretch of the imagination but usually when recording I gots to get it and hit it, then it's off to work :(
