I've recently discovered an internet radio resource (free) for great blues music. jazzradio.com/blues

I've been listening to it for the past three days/nights or so, and the dominant style seems to be country/Delta guitar blues, with a pretty fair dose of harp playing included, and an occasional high energy electric something thrown in, like Roy Buchanan, or some Chicago blues, or some contemporary blues or blues/jazz stylings.
But the major thrust includes artists like this morning's sampling: Koko Taylor, Big Joe Williams, Frank Frost, Son House, Clarence "Gatemouth" Brown, Jessie Mae Hemphill, Keb Mo, Mississippi Fred McDowell, Muddy Waters, Charlie Musselwhite, John Hammond, Robert Belfour, Arthur "Big Boy" Crudup, Robert Lockwood, Lightnin' Hopkins, Ruthie Foster, Albert Youngblood Hart, Rory Block, etc.

Great stuff, if I say so myself. Just thought I'd share this in case anyone might be interested and hasn't found this station yet. Enjoy.

hey harp-er! I've been frequenting this station for a year or so now and as such am a little tired of the rotation.......but I still keep going back! there's nearly always something to play harp to, and new stuff (to me anyway) just keeps on popping up!

Thanks for the reference harp-er. Made me think, too, that I've been meaning to make sure y'all know about Dennis Gruenling's deep, broad blues show on WFDU on Thursday afternoons (eastern time), which streams on-line. Every week I learn of great songs and artists I've never heard of. We all already know Dennis' hero harp playing. He's a top-notch blues deejay as well. Here's the link for more info ...

@BronxHarp - yeh, I'll have to check that out. Maybe tomorrow, at 11am my time. Thanks.

@Rubes - I can see getting a bit tired of the mix over a year's time, if they didn't change it much. I'm also discovering people I never heard before, much to my current delight. I like listening to old style/country/Delta blues, and they seem to favor that style predominantly.
