Nice 1X12 cab design. IMHO. Built by my pal Ellis B. Here in Honolulu, Hawaii. This retro/Gretsch influence I think. Beer cooler..?.. One friends' reaction was. Flip the lid up and grab one. (doesn't really flip open...) So far so good, playing through my stock Kalamazoo Model One. Refitted into a nice size head cab. Big feet and handle, easily sits on top of cab...o.k by itself...better with a echo pedal and mic'd thru PA with Seinheiser 609e. Sweet spot around 5, treble on 3 or 4, bass 10, pump mids and low end on PA end. Echo delay, Ibanez CD10.

By itself, Model Ones have plenty mids and highs, but lacking in enough bottom to fill the room. All the other amps and commotion on stage often drown out what little bottom it might have. The rig kills in small to medium venues. I like a little more in the monitors to help me hear myself better. Thus, I play better. I am SOOOOOO tired of straining to hear myself. It is impossible to get (consistent)cooperation from the band. The volume gets louder and louder as the feeling and excitement grow with it. Few people(soundmen) will ever understand what harp players need. And you will find yourself taking the backseat every time. Nothin worse than knowing you had a great sound, and were reeeeeally killing it, only to find later, nobody heard you. "MAN, you got to turn UP!...THAT WAS UNBELIEVEABLE!!!". ..well, not quite like that.

Nice! I need to take pictures of my custom TV front 1x12 cab I had made for a SF Champ chassis (rear mounted)

Absolutely...Joey! We can't be the ONLY ones doing this. Hawkeye, too. His last project,...the Kalamazoo One. These ole amps, (and speakers)we know and love so much, sometimes need a facelift. It's fun, too. I take no credit for building this one, this was totally off the wall, but I like it. He ran out of tweed, and suggested the "Marshall" red... It won't be missed, that's for sure, too.
