I started a new thread. I had time this morning and opened it up to replace the 2 prong cord with a 3 prong. Will be a piece of cake. The amp is actually a 1950.

The thing I noticed was the 6snl which is what I found on the internet for the preamp for this amp is actually a 6sj7

The tube should not be interchangable so I assume all the amps were not designed the same or the info I found online is incorrect?

Here are some pictures. Does the circuit look to be original? I am going to test all the tubes on my tube tester later today.

For the amp gurus? If the caps are original but the amp sounds ok, would you still have the amp serviced and change out anything not in spec? Also, should the 6v6's be matched? What about bias?
