Bonjour Jonsparrow,
I am a new member on this MBH Forum, but I have been a fan of JJ.Milteau ever since his debut. I have bought most of his records over the years, and it has always been a wonderful amazement.
Check this one out, everytime I listen to it I get gooseflesh:

Milteau,is one of my harp idols,i nerver understood why he is so underrated and the you tube videos doesn't make him justice. One could learn a lot by listening to his music.

I really like his work. Christelle turned me on to him. I have a few of CD's. I have my whole iPod collection on random in the car - and every time one of his tunes comes up my ears perk up and I say "who's that?" and it's always JJ. He plays SO many different styles and does them all really well.

The harp and guitar were great--but the singer is the one I want to take home with me!

Jean Jacques has understood everything about harmonica playing, he's not using overbend but I don't care at all. Jean Jacques was the first in France to promote the harmonica and playing it as good as his own masters, like Sonny Terry Sonny Boy Williamson II and Paul Butterfield. And beleive me what he achieved is to give the envy to 2 generations of people to play harmonica because this instrument was not well know in France in the 70's.

JJ has done many CDs and I encourage you to buy them on iTunes my prefered one is "Explorer" and of course his "Live Utopia Jazz Club", but his last "Soul Conversation" will rock you.
