Why would his speed matter? I thought his phrasing and tone were killer in this video. If his dad is teaching him about playing the blues, he's doing a great job!
Yes, the kid with the hat and cigarette in his mouth - not his REAL son - but a blusical one...
BTW - this avatar with gold razor cut hair blowing in the wind is a Jason look a like don't you think...I must be obsessed with Jason - MEOW :)

Jason has speed, but he has so much more than that. Technique in bucket loads and feeling. Some of his slow stuff is so well articulated! He seems to have been labelled with this speed label, but I think that really does under sell him. IMHO Jason is a true all round player. I don't really understand why he has never got the SPAH Bernie Bray award. I suspect if you ask most young players (and a quite a few old ones) he has been a real inspiration. I will get off my soap box now, sorry!
No, unfortunately I live on the wrong side of the pond, its been a long time since he toured in the UK.
I have listened to his music a lot though, my partner probably thinks too much! For an introduction to his range I really like the live album, Live At Checkers Tavern Blue Sunday Records.
I come from a Jazz background, so tracks like Reverse Technology are an inspiration, I had not heard other harmonica players do stuff like that. It really opened up my mind to the potential of the instrument.
