Im pretty new at the harp ( 1 month ) Iv been working with little walters off the wall. ( great practice for 3 draw whole step bend ) I can play the first 44 bars along with the record somewhat but the thing im having trouble hearing on the record is what is going on in bar one ( its reapeated after as well) the music i have for this song list 2-3-4-5 draw, easy enough right, only it sounds like more is going on in the record, and from people on youtibe playing it.

so my question is: is there some really fast "phantom notes" in between that's not indicated on the music or am i Over thinking this and its simply that enormous amounts of reverb and delay?

thank you for any tips

Josh,

I'll try to answer your question. I think your music is correct. It's just a quick 234-5 run that almost sounds like a "glissando". He's actually playing all the notes, just quickly. There's nothing else there.

Good Luck and keep practicing!

thanks rusty! i think what confused me is some people are mouthing each note real fast (da-da-da-da) kind of thing but i don't think that is what goes on in the recording =)
