It's a fun BBC documentary, but it's a bit piecemeal especially if you're looking for a good history of blues harmonica, as also spends a fair amount of time on folk, pre-war pope etc. Definitely worth watching if you have some spare time though.

I recently read this article by Larry Hoffmann and picked up a few details and names I hadn't heard of before in the history blues harp. Definitely does a good job of outlining the various strains an influences, pedigrees if you will, of different important players:

Actually, quite cheesy but interesting from a curiosity point of view, revealing business practices from Hohner during wartime......
