Again, this is a free admission concert and plans (hopeful) are for it to grow and evolve into a three-day festival w/ workshops, demonstrations, amatuer competition - and of course, live concert performances. (You know the drill: The success of this year's event on the 29th, will dictate if there will be a "second annual".)
Fairview is south of interstate I-40, and approx. 20 miles west of Nashville. Directions from I-40 (west of Nashville) are to exit I-40 @ EXIT 178 (Highway 840), and take that south (it only goes south). Highway 840 ends after seven (7) miles @ Highway 100. Take Highway 100 EAST for three (3) miles and the concert site is there on the left. There will be ample signage directing you.
Official address is 2440 Fairview Blvd (which is Highway 100) Fairview, TN 37062 - again, there is no official website, however all information including a link to the Fairview Chamber of Commerce (for accomodations, bail bondsmen, etc.) is on facebook ... search facebook for Mid-Pointe Harmonica Festival (don't forget the "e" in Pointe)...
SEE YOU ON THE 29th!!!

Thank you Adam, for this great forum about and for the art and artistry of harmonica. It is a pleasure to be able to spread the word about a free event (such as the Sept. 29th Mid-Pointe Festival) relative to harmonica, in a forum of vast and varied individuals who are anxious at best - and cordial at least - for such information. (I just wish I was smart enough to know how to "post the poster" here ...LOL) Thank you!

That's right....whether or not this event grows and takes place again next year depends on the success of this year. This is HUGE! As far as I know we've never had a "harmonica only" event of this caliber anywhere around here so come out and support it if you're able.
Terry "Harmonica" Bean will be closing the show from 9pm til 10pm with his gut-bucket, deep-throated, Mississippi Delta-lovin' blues. 1st class entertainer with the chops to back it up. This guy is "The Real Deal."
In this youtube interview Terry gives his take on what constitutes "Hill Country" blues. He also plays some killer harmonica at about the 5 minute mark. This guy just completely floors me...a real bluesman!
