Hey Everybody,
I’ve been reading this list for a few years. I started at the recommendation of my friend Chris Michalek and a few other folks you all know. Chris was my main point of entry into the online harmonica world, and since he’s passed I’ve somewhat lost interest in harmonica nerd-ship, and even harp in general. Chris was good for a once or twice a week phone call prodding me to listen to some new thing he’d recorded or challenge me to play some lick he figured I couldn't or check out his latest flame war...I didn’t realize it at the time, but our friendly rivalry was one of the main things that kept me working to improve my playing. He liked Adam’s forum for it’s relative freedom (sometimes a Michalek inspired anarchy?) …and I’ve enjoyed many of the threads and learned a thing or two.

This is a long winded way of saying that I’m going to tip my toe back into the harp community waters-I’ve got the right amount of free time now to devote to music in general and maybe even harp wood-shedding. By way of introduction, I have been playing harmonica for around 22 years- I was influenced early by Howard and started the overblow adventure long ago. By now all the overblows are pretty integrated into my playing; I have less need for overdraws in my music, but they are there when I need them. These days I lean towards the singer/songwriter side of my personality, but I dearly love playing funky, jazzy blues.

Y’all can check out what I do on my Youtube channel-there are a lot of songs that feature harp and a lot that don’t. The Burning Out solos clip, In A Little While, and the Rosco, Bryan, and Three Worlds jam are at the top of the page and are a decent representation of my live stuff. Further down the page, the end of Cold is a duet solo with the guitar player I wrote that I guess I'm pretty proud of.

The two maybe august studio records are on itunes, Amazon, etc.

I’ll try to look in on the forum regularly and make comments and I’d be happy to answer questions or read comments…

Rosco is most welcome. The guy can play and has opinions that I don't always agree with!
