For anyone within reasonable travel distance of Kosciosko, Mississippi, Charlie Musselwhite will be at the dedication and unveiling of his marker on the Mississippi Blues Trail this Friday, 24April.

I had intended to ride out there to attend and was going to try to meander up my own blues heritage pilgrimage. But, my unpredictable work has precluded this. Charlie was gracious enough that he told me he would hook me up with some folks to visit and some oddball places to visit that might not be on the usual gravesite and birthplace guidebooks.

But, alas while I am taking off tomorrow to ride for a few weeks, it looks like I will have to return home and fly down later for work in the Gulf. I'll probably only make it to the Great Southwest.

But, if you can get to the Musselwhite Blues Trail Marker, try to do it. This Friday, 24April. Charlie will, of course be giving a speech and from what I understand, the town of Kosciosko will have a shindig that evening where he will be playing.
