Damn! I'm going to miss that place. Whenever I made it to Chicago, that place always felt like home to me. The music was great. The people were nice. The drinks were strong and reasonably priced. I hope Billy finds another venue with a similar vibe.
If you can give me 10 days notice next time some chicago harp playing legends, or Buddy Guy, are going to play in a neighborhood bar, I'll go for a 700 mile scooter ride.
Artis' should be protected on the registry of historical landmarks. Isn't the president from Chicago? How did he allow this place to close?
