I have won a few bids on ebay for new old stock mb1896s....where are these harps coming from?they are all from the hicksville ny plant which means that they are at least 30 years...I used to have a low opinion of marine bands but these harps have changed that...they play great

I got too laugh, all this fuss with harps. $2.50 for a" marine band". is what i paid for harps in 68` them old blues cat`s didn`t think 2 much about alter a harp.they just blew ther face out.it wasn`t the meet it`s the motion.i`f you don`t have a honk in your horn, no $100. harp is gonna help...play music, more than playin with a harp !

$2.50 doesn’t sound like much for a harp now, but it pretty well lines up with today’s off-the-shelf harp prices. I was earning around $1.75/hr after school.
