I had a topic on the board earlier about learning horn (specifically saxophone) parts and now poof it's gone. can anyone tell me what happened? Did I say something?

I don't think you said anything wrong. I noticed it was gone too. Some others have been deleted as well. Some threads are still there, but some of the individual posts have been deleted out of them too.

bummer, I thought it was a legitimate topic and question and someone had posted the video numbers from adam's youtube station. I finally had the time and was going to have a look.

I noticed some topics (such as bernmurd's) and others disappeared this afternoon after a temporary 503 error where the site was unavailable.

Looks like the server crashed and its owner restored it to a previous state, so a lot of recent posts have disappeared, and innocuous ones too. Unless you think Jason telling you he's from Maine was dangerous!

I think most of yesterdays posts have gone AWOL. Considering the heated exchanges that were going on in one particular thread, it's probably a good thing. (Although I notice that thread is now unlocked again Adam...)

I haven't deleted any topics. Nor have I unlocked the thread. So anything that has happened is beyond my control. It's possible that my webserver company, Macwebsitebuilder.com, had a temporary failure that caused all these problems. I'll check it out and post whatever I find in a new thread. [edited to add: I've just done that. And yes, there was indeed an outage.]
Sorry for the loss. As I say, it's due to circumstances entirely beyond my control. Thanks for pointing out the problem.
