Nice amp Hakan! Sounds great, thanks for showing us. I have played guitar through the original amp you're amp is modeled after and it was so {dirty} sweet. This was before I played harp {I'm only a 8-9 months into harmonica}. I am however lucky enough to have some amps for my guitars that are really good harp amps. A Kalamazoo Model 1 that I found while cleaning out a farmhouse in North Carolina, and a Fender 57 Bassman clone my friend built and hand wired, as well as a Princeton copy/Clone he did too. I haven't really started working on my amplified tone yet, but it's lucky that a lot of my guitar/recording gear {amps, pedals, mics} can be used for getting harp tones when i'm ready. Anyway, thanks for your posts and vids. I still put on your version of Rumble sometimes, it kicks ass!
Great demo, Hakan! Are you running it on the settings pictured in the vid? Through the instrument channel on 10, tone knob 0? Or is that just what the knobs were at during the vid shoot? What mic did you choose for the demo? Mighty tasty playing. ---------- Ricky B http://www.bushdogblues.blogspot.com RIVER BOTTOM BLUES--crime novel for blues fans available at Amazon/B&N and my blog THE DEVIL'S BLUES--coming Fall of 2012
Thank you Steff! I have tried a kalamazoo once here in Stockholm and it sounded great for harp. I compared it with my VHT and the VHT was good but the Kalamazoo sounded just right!
Hi Ricky, thanks! No the photo didn't show the actual settings. I don't remebemer them. The mic I used in the beginning (behind the photos) and in the end (black, but it was meant to have a photo there) is an Electro Voice RE10 and it was recorded with a H2 Zoom. When I played in the video at the stage I used a bullet mic with CR element and the sound was recorded just with the camera.
