I used jam tracks by Pete Anderson from the Guitar Center 'King of the Blues' site for these. The funky one first. I tried a guitar solo on this; it was two choruses long to begin with, but the first one was so dire I erased it and dubbed some acoustic harp on top instead - recorded through a crappy mic unfortunately. Also, I didn't realise till I listened back, but I kept changing the timing of the head each time it appeared.
The first position one. The aim of this one was to try and learn a few more first position ideas and not to repeat too much - it's all on the low end though and some of it does get repetitive I think. I haven't tackled any high end first position stuff and I've got zero control over the 10 blow - just haven't put the time in yet. There's more head trouble on this one too: by the time I got to the end, I'd forgotten how it started, so the whole 'circle back' idea sort of falls flat!
Wow! jodanchudan. When the second one started I thought it was a trumpet which was part of the backing. You've gotta do a tone tutorial some time. It's superb.
Maximum efficiency with rather simple but damn nice melodies! I also listened to "Climb" and, what's noticeable, is that it looks like if there was three different players...Awesome sound.

Love the low end first position. I've studied 1st quite a bit and I hear some cool new stuff...new to me anyway. Love the tone and dynamics. If I didn't know better I would swear it was a fat trombone at times. Very enjoyable.
