The Columbus Blues Harmonica Clinic III will be held Saturday September 22, 1 to 5pm at the Knights of Pythias Lodge 9 West Winter Street Delaware Ohio 43015. This is a free event open to the public. This time around we’ll have two teaching seminars, Dan Dial aka KingBIscuit will hold a raw beginners class, he requests that you bring along your “C” harp. I got a peak at Dan’s lesson plan and it’s great, I think you’ll enjoy his approach to teaching. We will also feature Central Ohio’s own Walter Tore, Walter will be demonstrating Spontobeat. If you’ve ever wanted to know more about the One Man Band approach to creating music Walter is a fantastic resource. I will remind you that this event is relaxed and mostly informal; this event has attracted some great people of all levels. Bring your gear, if you’ve got items for sale that’s OK. After the classes complete, we’ll start up the band for jamming. Looking forward to seeing you’ all again. Let me know if you have questions? Ted

Please clarify
is it:
September 22 or 10/22
?
If September 22, you may want to repost. I am avaible 10/22, but 9/22 is my wedding aniversy. I don't think the wife would think positively on this.

Jim: Sept 22. Thanks for qualifying: Also: I Re-Married my x-wife I fondly call the Plaintiff. Come on over, give it a try. I'm sure she's as understandable as my beautiful bride. Of course now she won't let me date----outside the family. Bit she has 5 sisters. I'm not too unhappy ! ---------- And I Thank You !! KCz Backwoodz Bluz

I'm looking forward to seeing old friends and making new ones at the clinic.
Anyone interested in the Raw Beginners session, bring a C diatonic harp if you have one.
Come on out and enjoy and afternoon of harp geekdom!

Third Drummer just cancelled due to a WV game that day. Where in the world will I find a guy this late? I'll keep positive and make it happen.

Forgot to ask, is there a cost to this clinic? Just wanted to know if I needed to bring cash or not.

There is no charge for admission. Be warned, if you are a gear head you will be tempted by some great stuff. I have my eye on a custom amp that I've been told is deeply discounted, and I might try talking KC in to parting with that chrome mic of his.

@Lonesome - You need another amp like you need another hole in your head...come to think of it, if you buy another amp, your wife may help out with a new hole in your head! LOL I'll have a couple of items for sale or trade. I hope to see some old friends and make some new ones. SEE YOU THERE!!!!

Hey Sudsy, Great meeting you too! Thanks for the kind words. To all attended, I had a great time. Thanks for coming out to support Blues Harp. Lonesome Harpman is so geeked about the day, he's already planning the next clinic. A huge thanks to the Blue Rails band for jamming away on some great glues standards, playing the same tune for probably what seemed an eternity while all the harp players got a chance to get their licks in. I'm pretty sure Hal Iwan gets the award for traveling furthest to attend, coming all the way from the Detroit area. For those that haven't met Hal, he's a great guy and equally great harp player. I hope to see everyone back at the next clinic and some new faces as well. Dan

I enjoyed meeting everyone and seeing familiar faces. This was the first time I have presented the concept of spontobeat publicly. I appreciate that and hope it may have inspired some to try it out. Wow what a great time. Sorry for the delayed message. My computer on the fritz. Again Ted and Dan out did themselves. Walter thanks so much for the sponto clinic. I did leave inspired and excited to keep working on my OMB. Great to meet everyone. If you sent a personal e-mail, please try again. Lost some mail with computer problems. Great to try out new gear. Thanks to Judd for the purchase of your Duoharp rack magnet. I'm very impressed and getting use to working with it and wow how easy to change harps!! Great to see Hal and talk about the Buckeye Harmonica Fest times. I left the event just as encouraged and excited as when leaving HCH. Can't wait for the next one !!! ---------- And I Thank You !! Hey Fella's ... had a really good time on Saturday. I want to extend a special thanks out to KC69 and KingBiscuit all of your shared enthusiasm, and desire to share your combined knowledge was above and beyond ... so cool! Also, great job organizing and allowing all of us newbies to just jump right in and get our feet wet. Met a lot of really cool people there Tim, Bruce, Walter, and finally got to meet Brian :). I hope to take everything I learned there (again, thanks KingBisuit) and take it further. Maybe by January I can show a definitive show of improvement.
Had a great time can't wait til the next one!

thanks again everyone for being adventurous enough to check out my take on how to do music and for the interest in the 1MB concept. That room had some natural reverb to it. I put my guitar amp and one of the PA speakers in the room next door and it lent a cool distant but warm sound to my ears. The multi room concrete basement of the hall is perfect for low volume musical sound experimenting.
Judd Baker of the Duo Harp for rack harp was kind enough to give me one to try out. I am mixing some somgs as I type. I will post them with my first take on this device in a few.
