Then replace the part between the first set of quotation marks (the http://wwww.abc.com/anySoundfile.mp3 part) with your file's url. That should work for dropbox. For Sound Cloud you have to click around a bit. I don't remember exactly where it is, but you want something like 'embed' or bbcode. If you post the link I can try to track it down for you. :)
1847, if you post the dropbox link I can HTMLify it so it posts as a player.
Pistolcat, it's me (nacoran). My computer is broken and my password safe is unaccessible, so I had another mod approve a new ID for me. (It's a pain to reset passwords. Hopefully I'll be able to retrieve the data in a few days and get back to normal.) :)
thanks for all the help soundcloud seems to be working well enough so i dont really need drop box just wanted to post a couple audio tracks i'll do that later. thanks again! well there is one more thing how do i resize a picture i dont need to post anything that large lol
1847, there are a couple ways to resize an image. You can actually resize the image on your computer in any image editing software, or you can use HTML.
You can adjust the size by changing the numbers. I think you can fit about 420 across without forcing the page to scroll. You should also be able to do it like this:
I don't remember if both ways work with our software. Usually I'd do a quick cut and paste test but I'm using a laptop and I'm terrible at cut and paste with a touch pad.
Pistol, I didn't actually have this as ap backup. I had to submit and get approved, which meant I had to contact one of the other admins, since I'm usually the one who approves the applications. Right now I have access to hotmail (I remembered that password) and Facebook (I reset that one using my hotmail!) and Fark, which I could remember because I could never get it to save my password. The worst part is I've had renovation done on my apartment and somewhere along the way all my system restore disks disappeared, so I'm waiting for a new set to arrive in the mail. Still, it's cheaper than taking it to the shop. It was sloppy of me not to have my password safe backed up on a thumb drive.
