Dear all,
I have to apologise for this mess I initiated with the now infamous bash thread, angering, unsettling and scandalising a number of you. It was definitely not my intention to "bash" anybody, quite the contrary. Please allow me a few explanatory sentences. While going through the recent thread on "what equipment should you own", I saw that the whole Buddha affair was re-ignited. An interesting thread was being diverted again. I reacted impulsively using irony, posting the "bash thread" whose underlying meaning was "go and fight about CM elsewhere". It was an unthoughtful and stupid joke, whose original intent was the polar opposite of how it sounded and the way it was taken, and the rest followed... As things have turned out, however, it may be that thread will have served as some sort of positive shock therapy here, hopefully.
Again, sincere apologies, and thanks to AG and you all for understanding.

But.........
Why does everyone keep saying "and the rest will follow"?.....That's like the 30th time
Man it gets at my bones when poeple say that. Especially with the recent altercations.

I actually knew when I first read your post (the first one) on that thread, that your intent was not to bash Chris. I also knew that the thread's title would cause a shitstorm of reaction and said so in my post. I thought about posting something in your defense, but I thought anything posted of that nature would just make things worse by prolonging and inflaming the conversation. I had hoped the whole thing would die out of its own accord. No such luck.
I'm glad Adam decided to reinstate you. Welcome back.
Hopefully discussion on this topic will soon die out. I, for one, pledge no further posts of any kind on this subject.

Honkin - additional thanks , I appreciate that at least one person seems to have understood, plus may be a few others. I knew that some people wouldn't get it, but I should have known that the majority would not get either, despite the purposefully exaggerated title of the thread... uh! Good lesson for the day.
mickil: Whammer Jammer - I'll start working on it, but that will probably be out in a couple of years - very optimistically :)
