This is true of a very famous orchestra conductor ( I forget his name) but during practice he stopped the orchestra and said to the cellist:- 'Madam, between your legs you have an instrument capable of bringing joy , and all you can do is sit there and scratch it'.
I may be paraphrasing a bit-can't remember where I read it. James Harman to a famous guitarist known for playing many notes very fast: "You ought to slow down and get to know those notes-you might learn to like 'em."
One of my favorites comes from an argument between the film music composer Max Stein (I think) and the director (I've forgotten his name). The director objected to there being music in a scene where some men were stranded in the ocean in a small boat:
Director: "Where's the orchestra?"
Stein: "Where's the camera?" ---------- 'If it sounds GOOD to you, it's bitchen; if it sounds BAD to YOU, it's shitty' - Frank Zappa
Satan and Adam, Pure bloody genius and most of the music listening world a'int never heard of them, Well as Mr T would say " I pity the fools!"
