I just got back from an estate sale and picked up an EV 664 mic. It is mounted on a heave metal stand and has the screw on connector that has a quarter inch plug. Under the on/off switch it says hi-z/low-z. It sounds great and was wondering if anyone knows around what year this mic could be. There were two of them and I might go back to get the other if it is worth it. Thanks--- 99

They are good mics but a bit heavy. I've seen a few chopped down.

If I'm not mistaken, that mic came out around 1962 and sold for about $50. That wasn't cheap. In 1962 you could buy a new Cadillac for around $3,000. Also, I seem to remember that the rolled the bottom off a bit but played strong. Right now, they're on Ebay for about $80.
