I played a bit through the Reverb Rocket in this picture (not sure if it's the one you are talking about- probably an earlier model) - and I liked it. I was using it together with my litttle Gibson BR9 and it filled out the sound nicely and didn't feedback at volume.
I am using an ampeg as my main amp at the moment. Not a reverberocket but an m15.
I really dig it.
Most ampegs from the mid 60s and before I'd bet will sound good. They are bluesy and or jazzy clean amps with nice smooth breakup. Not high gain at all.

Thanks Guys...I just got back from playing through it. It was all original with a 2 prong plug. Reverb did not work but the echo did. It definitely needed some service as the volume pot at times caused a loud squeel like feedback. Also turning the echo knob with nothing plugged in sometimes caused that same squeel. It has a 12Ax7 which caused me to only be able to turn the volume up to maybe 2 before feeding back but was quite loud. Treble had to be turned to off position. It was pretty clean and sounded best to me just right before feeding back where at had a nice breakup and punch. What does a check and service usually cost, Should I figure like 200.00 for a amp tech to go through it?
I think changing the preamp tube would make a huge difference. IT was o nthe bright side so at least with a CR it did not require any treble and I liekd it with the bass turned all the way up.
Guitar through it gave me the chills...Sounded awesome with guitar.
