I finally went for it. I picked up a Fender Hot Rod Deville III with red tolex and white piping. Tried it out Sunday at rehearsal with a Shaker Dynamic and an Audix I-5 with a "Blows me Away Volume Control". The Audix won and sounded awesome to me. I'm also using a MXR Carbon Copy Analog Delay through the loop for a slap back. Killer sound and I can finally hear myself!!
Nice!! i always played through a standard Blues Deville 4x10 with a mexican green bullet and never got drowned out, have fun!!
