Another post about that nice little iphone/ipad connector. If you are like me, a bit short on dough and space and hesitating to take that leap into amplified harmonica you can check out the Peavey Ampkitlink with free software from appstore (and of course some cool in-app gear to buy at steep rates :)). I use a Sm57 lo-z mic that's easy to find, very usable and has a great second-hand value. I do like the noise I'm getting out of this getup but I have little to compare with and I haven't found any others using the ampKit LiNK so I just want to show you all yet another use for your iphone.
Playing this vampy backingtrack by Lawrence Fritts called "Rainy Gravy". It's based of status quo's "Gravy Train" but I just play what the hell I like. Simple stuff, letting the "amp" do the heavy lifting. There are two separate overblows in the IV chord of the vamp, though. The mic is a nice de-squeekifier.
I really like this backing track. It's damn simple yet preserve tension and build nut-grabbing power throughout the song. It's available from a lot of free sites since Lawrence Fritts left these goodies with "free-use-for-all" rights. Hope you enjoy it! Critique is always welcome, too, if you like to give any. :)

Thanks, orphan! Man! I'm telling you that I like playing with that microphone. I need to get a real amp to put some power behind it. :) Maybe try to find some schmucks to play with soon, too. ---------- Pistolkatt - Pistolkatts youtube
I'm not really. :/ it's more of wishful thinking. I have, at this point, no use or space for an amp. If one of those factors change I will start looking into specific amps. Until then I'm just piiiiiiiiiiining. ---------- Pistolkatt - Pistolkatts youtube
