of sorts.
It's the nearest thing I'm likely to get.
I've got a half hour slot at the open mic at my local pub's beer festival.

I thought I'd better do some work for it so worked out a set list and played it all yesterday. There's be a mixture of Chromatic with and without backing tracks and diatonic with and without cajon. I even recorded it on my minidisk player to listen back to and evaluate. Well I thought I had. It recorded 31:40 of nothing as I had inadvertently plugged the mic into the earphone socket :^( grrrrrrr.

I didn't get the choice of the timing, but I did ask for the longer slot instead of the usual 3 songs.
Most of them will have already had a skinful as they'll have been there all afternoon.
Besides, I'd rather have people listening appreciatively than heckling or just talking because they are too drunk to know what's going on.

Slightly OT: Do you use a rack when you play the cajon or do you play it with one hand or hand and feet?

@TimeIsTight [was going to abbreviate your name but thought better of it :^) ]

I have got a harplock. unfortunately it doesn't fit my decent mic so it is on a 600ohm dynamic mic from a pound shop. One of the wires broke of the switch in the mic during practice last night so I had to solder it back together.

As I am recording my practices, I might get something worthy of letting you listen to eventually.

Just back from the gig.

I am pleased to report that it went down really well which I am really glad about as I have spent every evening for the past week practising my 30 minute set with backing tracks and the cajon. I even managed to introduce the tunes, which is something I don't really do at the usual open mics, I wrote myself a script beforehand.
Yes there were a few wrong notes, but overall I was pleased with it. The only thing I forgot was to set up the minidisk to record it :^(

Next thing is to do some more busking although that will be just solo harp at lunchtime, not with the full rig.

I think it sounded pretty good, congrats on the gig too. I built a cajon about a month ago, your playing is way better than mine.
