I can't perform overblows to save my lfe, but I do strive to get a jazz/blues/bebop feel all the same, perhaps in vain. Still, sometimes I think the attempts produce something interesting; it's a charge to hear myself playing outside my usual grabbag of riffs and phrases. Comments are very, very welcome.

nice! my only other comment would be that; as a composition, the arrangement could use a touch of pizazz

Ted, I think you are a great harp player and I like your sound/tone. You don't need overblows or overdraws to be a great harp player, but they do open up new possibilities that you would find very useful for this style. If you're struggling to get them, it could be the harp. Proper set-up is required to really make the most of the technique. Even accomplished overblow/overdraw players can't always do the same things on an out-of-the-box harp as they can with a custom, myself included. So, don't be discouraged.

Damn Theo! I enjoy the way you mix it up, the variation in your playing that is, and I appreciate your ability to play those fast clean runs and make it all sound like something. Like groyster said, post us some more videos please.

The one guy that opened up my ear to new possibilities w/out OB on diatonic was Paul DeLay.

Check out his stuff....

Thank you for the comments. I also appreciate constructive criticism; you guys have great ears for what works and what does not in a solo.
Todd, Parrot, I greatly appreciate your kind remark and agree that I need to have a harp or two modified to properly do overblows. Thanks for the advice.
Paul DeLay was a unique, player with real moments of genius. You can't say that about many players, period. Much respect for the man.

Here's something in a Santana vein, improv'ing over a looping jam track I found on line.
