I've started writing entries for Blackpast.org and was researching Sleepy John Estes when I can across this

.

Comment seems redundant so I'll just let Sleepy and Yank speak for themselves. Enjoy.

LSC,
Glad to hear that you were able to get in touch with Dr. Taylor and start contributing to blackpast.org. It seems like such a worthwhile and important project, and I'm sure you will do a great job adding to the knowledge about early blues.

That's excellent, love that mandolin. I played along with a B harp and liked the way it fit. Was I playing 2nd position?

@rgsccr - Thanks kindly for the referral. My first submission was on Pinetop Perkins, which I believe is now posted. Dr. Taylor asked for Pinetop first when he read that I had jammed and spoken with the man on occasion.

I submitted Sleepy John Estes today. Entries have to be vetted before posting and I'm not sure how long that takes. In any event, I'm really enjoying doing the research and occasionally throwing my two cents worth in.

@Frank - Perhaps, but it starts from an exceptional place no matter what the state of sobriety. But if getting rat assed is what it takes to get one to make that connection by all means. Then go back and listen sober and hear what you missed.
