My band was invited to a local TV News show. Big fun.

I can't sing a lick but I so wanted to be in a band. So, I figure just offer a few guys jobs and see what happens. We have 8 gigs booked and I feel as young as my bandmates.

Life is good at 50!

Woooo. Hooooo! That was great Harpdude! You are making it happen! This is just awesome. Watching your inception of this idea through fruition has been great. I feel like some kind of proud relative or something.

Congrats!

THanks Brad, Brandon, Danny, Hobo, and Rick!

I did think I was doomed for waiting on a magical blues band to pop up and invite me in. Fronting a band as a non-singing harp player is unusual....but why not.

These young guys are happy to have someone that does not mind doing the work...bookings, promotion,etc..etc..

All these guys know several blues songs.

THe only person that can fire me now is my wife!..lol

Great playing...great exposure. But, Harpdude, it looks like you need to grow some facial hair if you want to stay in that band, man.

lol..I cannot grow facial hair. Way to thin and patchy.
I really appreciate the kind words from everyone. As a lifetime stutterer, I can tell you that doing the whole segment was a huge accomplishment for me. The harmonica has really brought me out of my shell. My self-confidence has never been better.

I will always be grateful to the forum and it's members for such awesome encouragement and guidance.

Very nice indeed, and a real ego boost for all the lads. Q, what harp key etc were you using?
