I discovered something tonight. I have a Kinder AFB+. I haven't used it much. It does give a little more volume and increases the feedback threshold on my Kalamazoo but that was never really a problem and if I need anything louder than the organic Zoo I'd go to my new Avenger anyway. You can get the Avenger to volumes, projection and cut, to levels beyond Health and Safety limits with zero fear of feedback. So I've been thinking about selling the Kinder as surplus to requirements.
I going to go to a jam tonight where I knew some friends and fine players were going to be. The venue provides the backline but with guitar players taking up amps often the only spare is a Twin. Not exactly harp friendly. Usually I'd take the Zoo and they'd mic it but I thought, "Lets see if I can get a decent sound out of the Twin if I use the Kinder." Low and behold it worked.
To me the Kinder does affect tone. A bit more grit no matter the amp. With the Twin it was just what was needed to be able to get some dirt while taming a 100 watt amp and being plenty loud. Due to some circumstances the Twin was not miced. It's a big room, big stage, biggish PA. I had no problem competing with a guitar player on the rock side of blues blazing away on a Super Reverb on one side and a Marshall guy on the other.
I now know the Kinder AFB+ can be a real useful tool for coping with an amp that's just handed to you. That's a really good thing to know. But y'all probably already know that.

@1847: They are the same. Both are reversed. One cable comes with the Voodoo Lab and you can order a second cable.
