I get asked a lot about playing guitar and harmonica... about what rack I use. I don't use racks - I hate how I sound with them I have to use my hands. Here's what I do instead. This was recorded about six or seven years ago, I'm playing mandolin and harmonica. First mandolin, then harmonica break and mandolin again. During the harmonica break, I've got the mandolin pick in my hand ready to go. You can hear the harmonica dropping on the coffee table when I switch back to mandolin ;)

This is, btw, how my late grandfather taught me to play Bluegrass Breakdown on the mandolin.

Sounds great. I am curious how you do the mandolin and guitar at the same time.

Since I learned to overblow, I don't use my car horn so much any more.

Recorded that about seven years ago. Yes, the harp was sloppy, although I'll stand behind the mando work, lol.
