Hello,

I got a 2007 CD by a Canadian harp player named Bharath Rajakumar who really has a great Chicago / Little Walter sound with his band Bharath and His Rythm Four. They are listed as from Montreal, and his playing has been discussed before on this board...but I had never heard him until a week or so ago.

I have not been able to find any evidence that he or his band have released anything since 2007-08, and searches don't show any gig listings or YouTube postings since spring of 2011.

Does anyone know if he is actively playing? Is "Friday Night Fatty" with jump blues guitarist Junior Watson the only CD they produced?

Thanks in advance to anyone here who may know.

Regards,

Johncn

He's around. A buddy of mine saw him when he was recording with Junior Watson. I think he might be on Watson's new CD. I bought it, but haven't had a chance to listen to it.

I posted a video of him at the rex in Toronto

I chatted with him after and he said he does a weekly gig every Friday at a club in Montreal

Thanks, all. Glad to hear he is still active, but sadly in an area I am unlikely to get to soon. ;-)
