Well, I was going to take part in two seminars and play at the Hohner booth this year, so I knew for a while I was going, but I officially registered and booked my flight tonight!

I can't wait!!!

Looks like Friday will be the beginner/intermediate customizing presentation and Saturday will be the advanced.

Anyone attending the second will leave being able to set up a handmade Hohner or stainless steel Seydel to overbend...although you don't have to overbend to appreciate the material.

I am not sure when exactly I'll be performing at the Hohner booth, but I asked that the guitar player be able to handle some rock music as I am sure we'll be blues'ed out by then.

I will have completed Marine Band's in Eb, E, and Ab with a standard set-up for $100 and Golden Melodies in Bb, D, and C with Sjoeberg combs and a complete overbend set up for $200.

I'd be willing to do private sit-down lessons on how I do my most advanced work for $50 while I am there...you'll have to supply your own harp.

How did you find out when your seminars are? Did they post a schedule somewhere? I'm still trying to figure out when my seminar will be. I requested Friday afternoon but haven't heard if that's what I got or not.

It'll be nice to meet you in person. I'll be at the Hohner Free Repairs Booth all day, all week, so stop by and say hello.
Ohh and I wouldn't worry about the guitarist at the Hohner Booth, I've known/played with him for a while, he can play just about anything.

Adam,

I only got a rough idea of the day/time because I was combining presentations with Matthew Smart and we had to make sure the two didn't overlap. I don't think anything has been officially released.

The customizing presentation will cover the basics from flat sanding to reed profiles. The advanced will hit more on things like embossing and mods for overbends, which actually help non-overbend players too.

I think I have Brandon talked into doing a looping seminar together too. I wanted to do that a while back but was worried I wouldn't have room in my luggage for everything, lol.

Jamming with Derek will be fun. I am hoping we can do a bunch of crazy non-harp tunes just to mix things up.

Greg, will you have mics to play at the jams and stuff? Your booth at SPAH 2010 was sweet!!!

A few people asked about buying up my SPAH harps before I get there...I'd like to hold off on selling them until I am at the event. However...

I have brand new Special 20's in Ab, B, F#, Db and Eb. I'd really like to unload them before SPAH. They will be set up for traditional players with the 6 overblow readily available.

The reed profiles and gapping will be the exact same as if I were working on a $200 harp, and they will be tuned to stock Hohner compromise via a strobe tuner. All the bends will perform excellently.

I am willing to do any retuning or repairs for the price of return shipping for the first 12 months. Due to my current work load and wanting to get as much out before SPAH as possible, I cannot offer these as full overbend set-ups, or with other typical options.

$75 shipped per harp...$70 each if you order two or more. They will ship before SPAH.

Thanks!
