Hey, Friends. My new CD from my band Bourbon & Bleach is for sale now on CD Baby. Give it a listen. And if you like what you hear, of course I love for you to buy it and enjoy it. Here's a quick write-up on what to expect and a link to the place to purchase it. Thanks.
-Bob

Birmingham-based Bourbon & Bleach has released its first self-titled CD. This independently produced effort features 9 tracks (6 originals and 3 covers) that were recorded live and finished with minimal overdubbing. It kicks off with the swampy, harp-driven tune “Money For Mama” which tells the tale of the deal the singer has to make in order to get permission to go out and play a gig. Next up is a cover of The Rolling Stones hit “Satisfaction” mashed-up with a Smokestack Lightning groove. “If You Love Me Like You Say”, a Little Johnny Taylor classic, gets a “second-line/New Orleans” treatment. “Half A Step From Twelve Steps More” is a rollicking rumination on walking the fine line between being a drunk and being an alcoholic. It’s followed by the slow burner “Two-Timing Woman” and the Elmore James-influenced “Eviction With Conviction”. Those who are easily offended (or maybe even not so easily offended) are best warned that “XXX Girl” is up next. It’s a raunchy little hillbilly number written in the tradition of “blue” blues. “Feed The Bucket” is a jump-blues that points out how the tip-jar and be both a blessing and a curse. The CD closes with Muddy Water’s classic “Champagne & Reefer” revved-up in a funky tramp groove.

Congratulations on the release Bb.

I wish those CD baby samples would play a little longer, something more like what they do on I Tunes. How many of those tunes on your CD have harp on them? Sounds like some good stuff there and a tight band. Is that you singing and harp?

Bob,
I'd love to support. I'll take a copy. How do I do it without Fleecebook? Shall I wait for Amazon?

Another bump for my new friend. I encourage everyone to support the harp-centric music whenever possible.
